Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
A lot of our ceramic coating services usually last around 3 to 5 years. And what determines that lifespan is usually how you maintain it. Um, and also how well we would prep the vehicle before we apply the ceramic coating. Just like any kind of service, usually you want to prep the surface. Whether you're ceramic coating or whether you're tinting, uh, you want to polish it, you want to clay bar it, you want to decontaminate it. So by the time you put in the ceramic coating, the surface is primed, it's clean, and it would integrate with the paint or the surface as good as it should, right? With that being said, um 3 to 5 years is definitely realistic. There are ceramic coatings out there that last up to seven years. um they do have a little bit higher cost, but usually the the concentration of ceramic or or um or borophene or or graphine, whichever that product holds, usually kind of determines how what the lifespan of it would be.
Paul Cotaco explained that the average lifespan of their ceramic coating services is 3 to 5 years, which is determined by how well the vehicle is prepped before application and how it is maintained afterward. Proper preparation involves polishing, clay barring, and decontaminating the surface to ensure the ceramic coating bonds effectively with the paint or surface. They also noted that while some ceramic coatings can last up to seven years, they usually come at a higher cost due to the concentration of materials like ceramic, borophene, or graphene.
