Hey folks! This is Paul from VK GARAGE.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"Can I take my vehicle offroad after installing an air suspension kit?"

Answer

Can I still take my truck off-roading if you install a lift? Definitely. Actually, a lot of the trucks that do go off-roading do add lift kits um for basically the fact that it adds clearance when you go off-roading. That's always going to be the biggest issue, right? Because, you know, it's one thing to add tires, bigger tires, but if you don't have the space to clear the tires and the wheels, and then also the articulation of the suspension, adding that lift kit will then allow you to be able to clear pretty much anything really. You know, the the different variations of like 3 in, actually even starts with two inches all the way up to six inches. It really kind of allows you to choose kind of what you want to do with the truck, right? So, if you're the type that, you know, goes hardcore off-roading, you definitely want to be kind of in the six inches and up if if needed. You know, again, it really depends on what you're trying to do.

Summary

Paul Cotaco confirmed that installing a lift kit does not prevent a truck from being taken off-roading; in fact, lift kits are commonly added to off-roading trucks to increase clearance. The added clearance is essential for accommodating larger tires and wheels, and for suspension articulation, with lifts ranging from two to six inches or more depending on the intensity of the off-roading planned (00:06:20).
