Hey folks! This is Paul from VK GARAGE.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"Can ceramic coating be applied to the windshield? "

Answer:

In general um of our generally in our services, we don't usually include the windshield and the glass because really the the common uh most important part on ceramic coating is usually the painted surfaces. So anything painted in the car is usually what we where we would apply the ceramic coating because the ceramic coating actually bonds with the paint and clear coat. Unlike glass, it doesn't really bond with that. Now, there is there are ceramic coating uh products that are specifically designed for glass, and they do a great job. They just won't last as long as the ones applied on the paint. And that's just the the reality of what's out there in the industry.

Summary:

Paul Cotaco clarified that ceramic coating services typically do not include windshields and door glass, as the primary focus is on painted surfaces where the coating bonds directly with the paint and clear coat. While specific ceramic coating products designed for glass exist and perform well, they generally do not last as long as those applied to paint.
